The District surrounding Whitehills is a mix of farmland and scattered hamlets, including Boyndie and Inverboyndie.

Due to it’s sheltered location on a picturesque bay under Knock Head the historical coastal village of Whitehills provided an ideal base for a prosperous fishing industry from as early as the 1700s.

The village has a range of local services including a convenience store, fish and chip shop and cafe, post office, beauty salon, church and pottery studio.

For those visiting by boat there is an excellent marina offering a range of services and facilities.
